Volunteer opportunities include the following roles:

Oak City Soccer provides soccer instruction to children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing differences. We typically need 4-8 volunteers per 1 hour class consisting of head coaches, assistant coaches, and buddies. Volunteers help our athletes stay on task, navigate drills, model basic skills, encourage sportsmanship, and facilitate social interactions. 

Head Coaches are asked to commit 4 hours 2-3 Sundays per 6 week season and complete the following duties:

-        Implement and delegate drill set ups, leading small group drills

-        Manage the curriculum of the day and timing

-        Manage assistant coaches day of

Assistant Coaches are asked to commit to 1-2 hours each Sunday of 6 week season and complete the following duties:

-        Assist the head coach in implementing, setting up and transitioning between drills

-        Teaching the participants soccer skills

Cary location: SportHQ (107 Edinburgh S Dr, Suite 100A, Cary 27511)  

                  Summer 2019 July 7th - August 11th 12:00 - 4:00 pm  

Fall 2019 September 22nd - October 27th 12:00 - 4:00 pm
